Founder & CEO Jack Dyer


Jack's been developing and growing new business globally mostly for others for over 35 years. His broad experiences include most all functional business management disciplines notably business development and technology/other new or underutilized asset commercialization while participating in the field of specialty services & consulting. As a strategic business development and commercialization consultant, Jack has directed development initiatives with varied objectives including sales & market development/entry; technology assessment and product line rationalization; new material applications; technology commercialization; as well as technology & business development or acquisition, alliance formation as well as business strategy development, planning and implementation. A cross-section of corporations served during Jack's tenure include 3M, Honeywell, Anton-Bauer, Atlantic Research, Aquamax, Akzo Nobel, BASF, Bio-Orbit, Kemira, Borg Warner, Cargill, Dow Chemical, EG&G, Engelhard, Evonik, ExxonMobil, FMC, Forbo, Hoechst, Hormos, ICI, Neste, Nokia, Oce, Olin, Perlos, Purolator, Raisio, Raychem, Rentech, Rexolin, Rockwell Int'l, Rohm and Haas, Shell, Sulzer, Goldschmidt, UPM, Metso, Valmet-Raisio, Valio, Forchem, Gore, Weyerhaeuser, and Wilh. Prior to Synergics, Jack founded/led SICO International Technologies, Inc., Synergics-Isis & Company, and Synergics Development, Inc. (the precursor consulting organizations that led to the realization of Synergics' as it is today. Even earlier on, Jack served as VP-Business Development of Innotech, a new product/business concept consulting firm as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Learning To Learn Corporation, a firm dedicated to teaching learning-disadvantaged children. Prior to business consulting, Jack founded a live marine specimen supply firm with private venture funding, i.e., Caribbean Biologicals, operating in the Florida Keys and Caribbean regions; and later with Marine Colloids and then FMC he was instrumental in the development of an enterprise specializing in mariculture in the Indonesian Archipelago (Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia). He additionally consulted to marine businesses in the Americas (N & S), Africa and S. E. ASIA on science, production and operations.

Jack's academic background includes Tulane (Physics/Chemistry), UF (BS Zoology), USF (MS Marine Biology), Fairleigh Dickinson( MBA Management). UWF (hyperbaric technologies) a U.S. Navy, NOAA, FL State Univ. Inst. of Oceanography Systems sponsored "Scientist-In-The-Sea" Graduate Program. Additionally, Jack served as an adjunct college faculty member in Key West.

Jack is an active member of a number of scientific, professional, and business associations. He has published several scientific and technological papers and has been listed in a number of global Who's Who & similar publications. Jack served during the 1960s and became a combat veteran as an officer in the US Army's Special Forces (Green Berets). Jack is married with two children and three grandchildren, is a US citizen and resides on a barrier island in Florida.
